FOUNDED 2020
Introducing Vision 2020.
A batch of 1980 Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda technology friends came together for our 40th graduation anniversary in July 2020, amid the COVID-19 pandemic, over Zoom. Many of us connected with each other after decades - from various cities in United States, Singapore, Africa, and India. During this time, the idea of Vision 2020 was born.
The Vision 2020 project is an alumni funded initiative that aims to benefit the current and future students of MSU Faculty of Technology and Engineering. Our global alumni organization leverages a robust and successful network of professionals worldwide who have benefited enormously from a rich tradition of creative and nurturing education from MSU. Our mission is to engage with the MSU Technology student body and serve them by sharing our professional and personal experiences and inspiring them to excel in their educational and professional careers. We welcome all MSU alumni, from any batch, to join our movement of making a difference to the student body of our alma mater.
The governance team behind Vision 2020.
We are all volunteers with a singular mission to make the Vision 2020 a “perpetual” effort that can someday blossom to a full-fledged multi-million dollar endowment fund for MSU.
Vision 2020 is a “social” enterprise. Professionalism is our fundamental philosophy as we implement our mission.
We are a “loosely” held group of equals with consensus-driven pragmatic decision making.
Our initial focus is on MSU Faculty of Technology and Engineering. We may later expand our scope to other MSU faculties.
We partner with MSU Alumni Office, MSU Technology Faculty members, and various MSU student bodies.
We will utilize one hundred-percentage of funds raised for Vision-2020 for its core missions.
We want to measure the impact of our giving campaigns and and make them more efficient each year.
We want to be agile and learn from our first year and then tune the programs.
We will share our reports periodically freely to all stakeholders, donors, and volunteers.
We invite all of you to join us.
