WELCOME TO THE INCUBATOR CLASS OF 2021 WINNERS

Welcome to Vision 2020 Incubator.

The Vision 2020 Incubator program intends to light the spark in MSU technology students' minds, inspire them to think big and incentivize them to chase their dreams, and someday touch the lives of thousands of people and change the world. Our Incubator program is modeled after the Silicon Valley incubator culture, which encourages young minds to solve big social problems, take risks, iterate, fail fast and often, and eventually succeed in changing your community and the world.

For students.

Incubators have helped countless entrepreneurs take their ideas from concept to full-fledged companies competing in the real world. Your dream, of course, is not going to come true overnight. The trick is you got to start somewhere. You got to want to come up with the next big idea. And when the idea hits you, the challenge is what do you do with the idea! Do you have the courage, innovative thinking, and passion for doing something about it. You will experience how an idea, effectively transformed into a product, can create economic value. You will learn the power of critical thinking and the multiplier effect of teaming. And above all, you will know what it means to hold yourself accountable and responsible for the outcome!

For mentors.

We are a global group of MSU technology alumni who have walked the corridors of Kalabhavan 40 years ago. Some of us have been fortunate to become entrepreneurs, technologists, inventors, venture capitalists, professionals in Fortune 1000 companies, done cutting-edge research, part of world-class universities, and experts in our respective fields. Our idea with the Vision 2020 Incubator is to democratize the art of innovation. We will provide structured guidance to MSU technology students on building their dream products and mentoring them on the art and science of entrepreneurship and innovation.

Innovation democratized.

Student teams enter into the Incubator program by registering their project during open enrollment period. An incubation council will select few teams with the best ideas and enroll them into the incubation class, which typically aligns with an academic year. These teams receive seed money up front to develop their product, and assigned mentors comprising alumni and faculty members. At the end of the year, each team will showcase the results, and the best team will be recognized as graduates of the incubation class, and awarded substantial cash award to encourage them to keep going further with their innovation.

Students will benefit from a holistic skills development in planning, entrepreneurship, and more…
